Review – Samsung LN46B650 LCD HDTV
Written by Gregory Browning on May 10th, 2009Have you ever dreamed of owning a theater complete with a gigantic screen that has absolutely gorgeous vibrant colors and mind-boggling sound system along with other cool extra features right in the comfort of your own home? If you have, then check this out!
Funnily enough, it doesn’t seem like all that long ago that my parents bought a magnificent 21″ Samsung colored TV. Okay, having said that, it was a while back now that I think of it because I was only just starting high school at the time. In fact, I can even remember how my brothers and I used to fight over who was going to get to hold the remote as the entire family would sit down to watch cable which my Dad had immediately subscribed to. Mom would forever be telling us to be careful with it whenever we went to close and Dad would wipe it clean as frequently as what people wash new cars. Yes, hardly a day went by without that old box being wiped clean and while it was just a standard TV, it brought us much joy. Now, after more than ten years, Samsung have proved yet again that they’re a force to be reckoned with. In fact, this Korean electronics company have once again made sure that we can continue being couch potatoes, and that we can enjoy it. If you’ve heard about the all new Samsung LN46B650 46″ LCD HDTV with Red Touch of Color, then you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about.
Having just recently developed the Samsung LN46B650 46″ LCD HDTV with Red Touch of Color, Samsung have yet again taken the world by storm. More than a decade has passed since Samsung transformed our family into a bunch of couch potatoes but I should know it was only a matter of time before they did it again.
Does it sound familiar? Well, do not confuse this with its predecessor, the Samsung LN46A650, because the Samsung LN46B650 is way better than that. Yes, Samsung LN46B650 has most of the same features as the previous model such as the “full HD 1080p Resolution”, “120Hz Auto Motion Plus”, and “4 HDMI Inputs”. It even has the same red tinge on its edges. But (and this is a gigantic “But”), the Samsung LN46B650 has so much more to offer you than those things mentioned above. Oh yes, I can confidently say that the Samsung LN46B650 is so much more than its predecessor because it has wonderful new additional features! Now let us see what they are, shall we?
First, the Samsung LN46B650 has 100,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, which means the range with which you can control the contrast is twofold, compared to the Samsung LN46A650 with its only 50,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. In short, you would be able to get sharper and clearer images with the B650 model than with the A650.
Next, it can be connected directly to your broadband connection and it even offers online content service from three of the most popular sites in the World Wide Web, namely Yahoo!, Flickr, and YouTube. This means that you can surf the net with a 46-inch monitor! Now you don’t have to squint your eyes at those sexy Pussycat Dolls music videos because you will be able to watch them almost as if they were giving you a private performance themselves. Amazing, isn’t it?
Wait! I’m not done yet. This television also has two USB ports that could read digital picture, video, and music files. You do not have to turn on any other appliance if you want to watch a picture slideshow on your large screen TV. You just put your digital files in a USB Flash Drive and you’re good to go. And if you don’t have a USB Flash Drive, then you could just download your files directly from the internet to its built-in 2GB flash memory.
Lastly but not least, the sound system and subwoofer of the Samsung LN46B650 is a real knockout, and without a doubt one of its coolest features. Remember, what this means is, not only do you get awesome bass, but also the sound is produced by two powerful speakers. Essentially, there is simply no comparison between the Samsung LN46B650 and its predecessor.

Hi – very good website you have created. I enjoyed reading this posting. I did want to publish a remark to tell you that the design of this site is very aesthetically pleasing. I used to be a graphic designer, now I am a copy editor in chief for a marketing firm. I have always enjoyed functioning with computers and am trying to learn code in my free time (which there is never enough of lol).
